Point Location Description: Abandoned small quarry

Access Description: Located 1 mile west of the hamlet of Scudder at the north end of Pelee Island just south of the wagon road.
The production history of this small quarry ( 175 sq ft), owned by Erie Sand and Gravel, is not known. The analysis of a sample from this quarry showed the lowest magnesium carbonate content in the whole Pelee Island.

Dec 07, 2005 (M Barua) - 2.5 m of Middle Devonian Dundee Formation, grey-brown, fine grained, fossiliferrous limestone with smell of petroleum and calcite grains occurs at this quarry.
