Jul 24, 2020 (Sheree Hinz) - The Salina Formation is Upper Silurian in age and consists of dolostone, shale, gypsum, and salt. Maximum regional dip for these rocks is less than 1 degree. Outcrops of the Salina Formation are scarce, therefore most structural, stratigraphic and lithological information is obtained from drill core.
