Access Description: Point under Admin Bound is the mine production shaft; info under Loction Point is the area of mining/mineral rights activity.
PRODUCTION: BEGAN IN DECEMBER 1978 AND CLOSED IN 1995. LESS THAN 50% OF MINING LEASE AREA WAS MINED OUT. MINE CLOSED DUE TO COMPETITION FROM CHEAPER PRODUCT(DSFG) FROM ONTARIO HYDRO.

Dec 07, 2005 (M Barua) - At Drumbo mine, the Main gypsum bed belongs to the Salina A-2 Unit and consists of gypsum, dolomitic gypsum and gypsite with an average grade of 88% gypsum; it exhibits a general thinkening from 1.5m in the east to 2.1m in the western part othe working area.The texture of the Main gypsum bed is chiefly nodular but laminated , massive and chicken-wire mosaic textures are present. The textures and lithologies suggest suggest a coastal salina sequence.
