Dec 07, 2005 (J Stewart) - The quarry exposes 33.4 m of the Anderdon Memeber of the Lucas Formation. The lower 28.3 m predominantely consists of bioclastic and microcrystalline limestones and calcarenites. The distinctive feature in this quarry is the top 5.1 m of the Lucas Formation which is a sandy, limestone facies of the Anderdon Member; it is a distinctive caprock. Overburden averages 7.0 m. The new Millenium Deposit is under development north of the railway tracks from 1998 to 2000; overburden in this area averages 30m.
