Dec 07, 2005 (M Barua) - Located about 6 km southwest of Erin CP Station, Guelph dolomite is exposed at this quarry on the west side of a small brook. The rocks are exposed in ledges along the face of hillside about 15 m in height. The upper 12 m of the strata consists of brown, finely granular rather hard dolomite in irregular beds with many cavities. The soft dolomite at the base of the hill is very pure dolomite.
