Dec 07, 2005 (M Barua) - Near the junction between the Irvine River and the Grand River, the abandoned quarry exposes 9 m of Guelph dolomite, the top half of which consists of buff, porous, thin-bedded dolomite and the lower half are much heavier but of similar characteristics.
