Dec 07, 2005 (M Barua) - The quarry exposes 3.15 m of dolostone of the Eramosa Member of the Amabel Formation overlain by 10.7 m thick dolostone of the Guelph Formation. The Eramosa Member consists of black to light brown, fine to medium bedded dolostone with shale partings, cherty nodules, abundant fossils, calcite and sulphide mineralization and conulariids upto 17 cm long.The Gulph Fm consists of 2 units of dolostone which is brown, massive fine to medium-crystalline, vuggy, fosiliferous; it has a petroliferous odour and in places reefy.
