Point Location Description: Long-abandoned overgrown quarry
Location Method: Data Compilation
Access Description: 2.3 km east of Kincardine.
Extending over Lots 6 to 9 , Concession III South, this long abandoned quarry located along the Penetangore river bank, was utilised to to excavate blocks of dolostone in 1885 to build a bridge in Kincardine. Later for a short period, the quarry also supplied stone to an adjacent lime kiln.

Dec 07, 2005 (M Barua) - 15 m of brown, very fine to fine crystalline, thin to medium-bedded dolostone of Lucas Formation with bituminous partings and strong petroliferrous odour is exposed at the Penetangore River bank.
