Feb 24, 2017 (A Wilson) - The marl is of fair quality. A 3-foot sample gave on analysis: 84.1% CaCO3; 3.5% MgCO3, 0.46% Fe2O3 and 2.98% insoluble. The crude marl is 53.6% water; 770 pounds of dry marl are contained in one cubic yard of the crude.
