Oct 06, 2010 (A Wilson) - The islands consist of biotite paragneiss, amphibolite, hybrid granite gneiss, and granite pegmatite. Garnets were observed in the paragneiss and amphibolite. The radioactive portions of the pegmatite are hematized.

Oct 06, 2010 (A Wilson) - The radioactive occurrences range from 1 foot to 10 feet in width. The radioactivity of the occurrences averages 350 cps. The assays from Keating Claim No. 1 returned assays up to 0.12% U3O8. Assays from other islands returned values ranging from 0.007% to 0.04% U3O8
