Pegmatite 2 Host

Lithology Comments

Apr 21, 2009 (A Wilson) - Elevated rare earth element values are associated with amphbolitic gneisses and narrow pegmatites. Multiple allanite occurrences are found in the area. Allanite (euxenite?) was observed in a band within a garnetiferous diorite at the contact with syenite and gneiss; within a shear in biotite granite gneiss and in seams up to 15 inches wide in pegmatite within amphibolite. The allanite zones can be traced over 150 feet along strike. Some zones of allanite are up to 15 feet wide.

Mineralization Comments

Apr 21, 2009 (A Wilson) - Assays from Raretech's diamond drilling returned 5140 ppm Ce, 3510 ppm La, 2285 ppm Nd and 535 Th over 1.7 ft in RT-86-1. A 1.6 ft section of drill core from RT-86-2A returned 7005 ppm Ce, 5410 ppm La, 4235 ppm Nd and 890 ppm Th. A 2.8 ft section of core from RT-86-5A returned 21,930 ppm Ce, 17,750 ppm La, 29,760 ppm Nd and 3345 ppm Th from a pegmatitic section of core. A 2.3 ft section of core from RT-86-20 returned 15,565 ppm Ce, 12,500 ppm La, 14,435 ppm Nd and 2010 ppm Th. Asays from the Atlin-Ruffner diamond drilling returned assays ranging from 2.13% to 4.16% CeO2 combined with 2.71% to 5.2% rare earths.
