Lithology Comments

Feb 03, 2009 (A Wilson) - The pegmatite dikes are hosted within a sequence of varied gneisses and syenite. Two types of pegmatite dikes are found in the area. One phase is orthoclase-rich with biotite and is located in the western part of the property. These dikes are up to 20 feet in width and reach lengths up to 50 feet. The dikes found on the eastern part of the property are much thinner and consist of narrow discontinuous seams that are <4 feet in length. These dikes are granitic in texture and consist of equal parts of feldspar and quartz.
