Mineralization Comments

Dec 17, 2020 (Sheree Hinz) - The four principal gold-bearing occurrences are in argillaceous quartzite and interbedded conglomerate of the Gowganda Formation. The No.1 Occurrence, located north of Leech Lake, is a highly mineralized zone in quartzite, close to the contact with a northeast-striking diabase dike. No distinct vein occurs in the zone, but over a width of 2 feet the quartzite is highly mineralized with pyrite. The No.2 Occurrence, situated between Leech and Hanwood Lakes, consists of a few narrow quartz-pyrite stringers and veins up to 3 inches wide. Pyrite is the main sulphide, but a little arsenopyrite is also present. The zone has been traced with test pits for 1,200 feet. Assay values up to 0.88 ounce of Au per ton over a width of 27 inches have been reported. The No.3 Occurrence located at the west end of Hanwood Lake, is a massive quartz vein in greywacke. It has been exposed for 300 feet by trenches and narrows to 2 feet at both ends. Sparse pyrite is present. Diamond-drilling results ranged from 0.15 ounce of Au per ton over 2 feet to 4.6 ounces of Au per ton over 4 feet. The No.4 Occurrence is approximately 1 mile south of No. 3, ranges from 2 to 3 feet in width. It has been exposed over a length of 180 feet on surface and to a depth of 61 feet by a shaft. It is a quartz-carbonate vein with very sparse sulphides.
