Aug 10, 2009 (A Wilson) - The vein strikes approximately east-west and dips steeply. The vein is 90 m long and up to 30 m wide. Contacts with the Espanola formation are exposed on both the north and south sides of the quarry. Both contacts are strongly sheared and rusty brown to brick red hematitic iron staining is common. On the north wall and exposures to the north, quartz forms sheeted veins within the intensely sheared country rock. The vein lies at the contact between the Espanola and Serpent Formations
