Exploration History

This Occurrence falls within a larger property, previously called the Casson Lake Claim Block. 1973: Aggressive Mining Ltd. - composite assays 1974: Mattagami Lake Mines Ltd. - ground geophysics, geological mapping 1993: D. Brunne & R. Stringer - geophysical and geological surveys 1993-1994: R. Stringer - prospecting, outcrop stripping, assaying. 1994: D. Brunne, R. Bald & R. Stringer - geological and geophysical surveys Discovery of note: "...location of the previously trenched but apparently unreported gold-bearing shear zone, which extends from west of L47E to east of L51E, and trends from 1100 to 130*AZ. The full extent of this zone is unknown." MINERALIZATION: MINERALS ASSUMED, ASSAY RESULTS: COMPOSITE SAMPLE FROM VAR PITS- 0.79% CU, 0.27% NI, 580 PPB PT, and 2.1 g/TON PD.

Mineralization Comments

Sep 21, 2023 (C Lee) - There are 2 types of mineral occurrences here: magmatic sulphides related to gabbro intrusion and hydrothermal gold hosted in a shear zone. Sulphide mineralization occurs in gabbroic sill extending for approximately 5.6 km (3.5 miles). E-area pit samples assayed 0.37% Cu, 0.16% Ni over 12m (40 feet). W-area pit samples assayed 0.15% Cu, 0.16% Ni over 4.6m (15 feet) and 0.68% Cu, 0.18% Ni over 3m (10 feet). A composite sample from various pits assayed 0.79% Cu, 0.27% Ni, 0.58 g/t (0.017 t-oz/ton) Pt, 2.1 g/t (0.06 t-oz/ton) Pd, 0.48 g/t (0.014 t-oz/ton) Au, 2.95 g/t (0.086 t-oz/ton) Ag. (C. Lee) A previously trenched gold-bearing shear zone was power stripped. It appears to be less than 1 meter wide, but extends for 450 meters. The highest gold value taken from a weathered float assayed 1.27 t-oz/ton gold. (OAFD: 41I04NE0054)
