1929: property prospected for nickel and copper. 1934-1951: Falconbridge Nickel Mines Ltd. - DD-4-1028 ft.; 1952: Ontario Nickel Mines Ltd. - DD-2-1009 ft. 1956: Trio Mining Company - DD-19, 6 packsack holes. 1975-76: Hibiscus Developments Ltd. - ground magnetic and EM surveys.

Mineralization Comments

Jul 27, 2016 (A Wilson) - Mineralization intersected in drilling ranged from 0.21% Ni and 0.44% Cu in disseminated material; to 3.82% Ni and 2.38% Cu in massive material. DDH No 5 completed by Trio, intersected the zone at 600 feet vertically and a 21 foot section assayed 0.84% Ni and 0.36% Cu. Pyrrhotite and chalcopyrite are disseminated throughout the margin of a peridotite body. The grade ranges from 0.21% Ni and 0.44% /cy ub vert dusenubated nateruak ti 3.82% Ni and 2.38% Cu in massive ore In 1934, Falconbridge Nickel Mines became interested, upon receipt of some ore samples from Owen which assayed 5.47% copper, 2.13% nickel and 2.95% zinc. There were also some six creditable gold assays ranging from $0.70 per ton to $15.05 per ton. Nickel values from the deposit ranged from 0.10% Ni to 2.43% Ni. Copper values ranged from trace to 3.00%. Chromium values up to 1.90%, Zn values up to 21.4%, Fe values up to 14.1%.
