Feb 26, 2009 (A Wilson) - The ore body consisted of impregnations of fine-grained, gold-bearing arsenopyrite and pyrite in Mississagi sandstone. It was a pipe-shaped mass, elliptical in cross-section and measuring about 150 feet by 250 feet where it terminated against the Wallingford Fault. The ore body had no sharply defined contacts and only some minor amounts of vein quartz mainly in the lower level. Diamond drilling in 1973 indicated the possible presence of a second gold-bearing zone at depth.
