Access Description: The Arcadia Nickel occurrence is located in the north half of lot 2, concession 4, Neelon Township, approximately 300 metres east of the Garson-Coniston Road, 1 kilometre north of the Highway 17 and Garson-Coniston intersection. (Google Earth, 2007)

Geology Comments

Jul 07, 2009 (D Scholtz) - Two copper and nickel deposits in Nipissing diabase near the northern boundary of the map-area in Neelon Township are described as follows: A small nickel-copper occurrence in the southeast quarter in the north half of lot 2, concession IV, Neelon Township was explored by Arcadia Nickel Corporation Limited in 1956. One short drillhole was put down and cut 3.1 metres of core that averaged 0.56 percent copper and 0.54 percent nickel. A test pit in the northwest quarter of the north half of lot l, concession III also shows a little nickel-copper mineralization. (R116, p. 126)
