Access Description: The McCormick Mine deposit is located near the north boundary of Lot 12, Concession III, Neelon Township. The deposit is located at the very north end of Neelon Avenue, in the Minnow Lake area of the Greater City of Sudbury. (Google Earth, 2007)
1962: A grab sample, taken from the pit by J.A. Grant, assayed 2.41% nickel and 0.31% copper. (R116, p. 126) The sample, consisting of coarse granular pyrrhotite, associated with small quantities of chalcopryrite, from this property, contained 2.41% nickel. The showing is in Nipissing gabbro. (GDIF065)
