1969: Kennco Explorations (Canada) Ltd. carried out an airborne geophysical survey (electromagnetic, magnetometer). 1981: Northgate Exploration Ltd. carried out a ground geophysical survey (electromagnetic very low frequency, magnetometer) and diamond drilling. 1982: Northgate Exploration Ltd. underwent a huge exploration program including ground geophysical surveys, diamond drilling, bulk sampling and geochemistry, bedrock trenching and geological mapping, microscope studies, and environmental studies. 1998-1999: Aaron Lawrence Peer dug two pits. 2009-2011: Currie Rose Resources Inc. and True Claim Exploration Inc. carried out 20 diamond drill holes totaling 2176 m, overburden stripping, sampling, assaying and analyses, and a ground geophysical survey (induced polarization). 2010: True Claim Exploration Inc. carried out an airborne geophysical survey (radiometric, electromagnetic very low frequency, magnetometer).

Feb 28, 2020 (Sheree Hinz) - The area is underlain by southeast trending Huronian metasediments which have been intruded by a large sill of Nipissing Diabase. The occurrences are quartz-carbonate veins in sheared gabbro close to a contact with Bruce Formation arkose. A quartz-carbonate vein ranging from 0.6 m to 2.5 m in width and striking north-northwesterly can be traced for about 180 m.

Apr 03, 2024 (Nazha Sabiri) - OGS staff reported a gold value of 38.8 g/t (1.13 oz/ton) from a poorly mineralized quartz vein. (OFR5771)
Feb 28, 2020 (Sheree Hinz) - Sample taken in 1987 (OFR5665) reported 6350 ppb Au from a quartz carbonate vein. Some pyrite is visible in the vein and a considerable amount of visible gold has been reported.
