Access Description: Hwy 17 east of Sudbury. 10.8km north on Kukagami Lake road to old railbed. Travel east on railbed 5.4km to Crerar crossing. Take trail south approx 1km to access trail heading west to site.

Lithology Comments

Feb 24, 2009 (A Wilson) - The occurrence is described as a 30 foot dike with microcline, quartz, albite and biotite. The dike has an exposed length of several hundred feet. The site was worked in 1923-24 by Industrial Mineral Corporation and by Messrs. Stewart and Rayner in 1926-27. The pit was reportedly 225 ft by 30 ft by 30 ft deep and approximately 8000 tons of feldspar and 1000 tons of quartz were shipped.

Mineralization Comments

Aug 17, 2012 (A Wilson) - Radioactivity ranges from 3 to 9 times background. Grab samples collected by Lucky Creek returned assays ranging from 0.02% U3O8 to 13.40% U3O8. The feldspar is described as being of good grade and could be extracted by open cutting.
