In 1929 a property, consisting of 2 claims was optioned by Mrs. W. Meehan to Waldmur Copper Nickel Mines Ltd. The company carried out a limited amount of development, consisting of stripping, test pits, and dip needle survey before relinquishing their option. In 1931 Joseph Lafreniere is said to have obtained an option on the claims. The property now forms part of the holdings of the Falconbridge Nickel Mines Ltd. There is no published record of diamond drilling or other development work on the property, other than that carried out by Waldmur (C. Lee, 1980).

Sep 18, 2023 (C Lee) - The claims are located along the norite - Murray Granite contact. Nickel-copper mineralization has been found on the property in several locations along the contact. In one place, in a deep test pit, channel sampling of the walls showed an average of 1.24% nickel, 0.30% copper, and 0.15 oz/ton silver across 10 ft near the bottom of the pit.
