Discovered in August 1892 by Robert McBride. Patented issued to him in 1895. In 1895 Dominion Mineral Company undertook the development of the prospect. A shaft was sunk to a depth of 65 feet with a drift at the bottom driven out about 66 feet. Some stripping was carried out. It was reported that good ore grades were found and that if enough could be located they would mine the property. The Dominion Mineral Company went out of business in 1895.

Sep 19, 2023 (Q Unknown) - Pyrrhotite, chalcopyrite and pentlandite are found here in greenstone at a distance of a few feet to 150 feet from the norite contact.
