Access Description: From Highway 144 follow Vermillion Lake Road 3.1km w to Lockerby Mine Road. Travel 800m south on Lockerby Mine Road to Stobie Falls Road. Continue 2km east along Stobie Falls Road and 1km south along private cottage access road. Canoe 1.6km southwest along Vermillion River to power line. Follow power line 1km east southeast then bush crash 500m south.



Exploration History

1890-1893: Creighton Gold Mines - inclined shaft sinking to 180 ft, underground drifting on 2 levels, 40-mill erected on site, sampling. 1895: DD-8. 1929: Gordon Lake Mining Syndicate - mapping, ground geophysics, trenching, DD

Sep 13, 2013 (A Wilson) - The gold vein reportedly strikes N75E and dips 45ºN. The gold vein reportedly could be traced for up to 600 yards and had a width of 250-300 ft.

Sep 13, 2013 (A Wilson) - Grab samples from quartz veins in the north part of the lot reported returned values up to $219.00 gold. Samples typically assayed 0.21 oz/t to 1.02 oz/t Au.
