Lithology Comments

May 14, 2010 (A Wilson) - Exploration work outlined two pod-like concentrations of mineralization, a western body measuring 18 by 100 m and an eastern body 36 by 42 m. The occurrence occurs at the contact of a mafic dike and Huronian metasediments. The metasediments are thinly bedded, fine-grained, greenish grey sandstone and siltstone related to the Gowganda Fm. The metasediments are silicified, chloritized and brecciated and cut by numerous magnetite and hematite bearing quartz veins.

Mineralization Comments

May 14, 2010 (A Wilson) - :Diamond drilling by B & H Exploration intersected silicified chlorite schist containing specular hematite and magnetite. Vannier described the magnetite as being disseminated throughout the schist or as fine stringers within the schist. Coarse magnetite in Vannier DDH A-02 returned an assay of 6.15% Fe. Drill hole A-02 intersected a 1 foot section of massive magnetite at 100 feet. Iron assays reportedly ranged from 15 to 44% over core lengths of 1.5 to 2.5 m (OGS 1981).
