Geology Comments

Mar 26, 2010 (A Wilson) - Strong albite-sericite-ankerite-altered wacke and Sudbury breccia are located within massive wacke of the Gowganda Fm. All units are intruded by Nipissing diabase. Narrow quartz veins trending WNW are restricted to the zone of alteration. The main vein strikes 305° and dips 65°S. The vein is 30-50 cm wide and is composed of massive quartz and ankerite.

Mineralization Comments

Mar 26, 2010 (A Wilson) - The average of the bulk sample taken by Sylvanite at the 110 ft level is about 0.28 oz/t gold over 1.05 ft for a length of 115 feet. Samples from the other veins range from trace to 1.10 oz/t over 0.5 feet. A grab sample collected by B. Gates (OGS) from a quartz vein in 1988 returned 4.26% Cu, anomalous nickel (585 ppm) and an average of 4695 ppb gold.
