Access Description: Access From the Wanapitei Indian Reserve #11 band office, travel northwest 0.5km to road to east that crosses Post Creek. Proceed 70m to trail on north side of road. Traverse north through the bush to site on rock knoll.

Lithology Comments

Mar 26, 2010 (A Wilson) - The iron formation is described as oxide facies banded iron formation adjacent to metasediments of the Missisagi Formation. The iron formation consists of three lenses are about 200 to 300 feet long and 50 feet thick. The jasper is interbedded with magnetite and jasper in bands up to 5 inches wide and 2 to 3 feet long.

Mineralization Comments

Mar 26, 2010 (A Wilson) - Grab samples collected from the north end of the iron formation in 1962 reportedly returned 19.9% Fe, 22.5% Fe and 31.3% Fe.
