Lithology Comments

Apr 07, 2010 (A Wilson) - The Mississagi Fm is conformably overlain by Bruce Fm paraconglomerate. Nipssing gabbro crosscuts these two units in a dike trending 300°. Sudbury breccia is common along the contact between the gabbro and sediments. The calcite body is located along the trend of the southwestern contact of the gabbro. The gabbro contact has been locally dislocated and the calcite deposit is enclosed by carbonatized rocks of the Bruce Fm.
