Exploration History

1956: Halkin Mines Limited held a group of 20 unpatented mining claims; 1951-56: R.I. Benner - 8-DD-358.8 ft.; trenching and DD-17-286.2.ft. 1956: L.J. Cunningham - the showing consists of a flatly dipping quartz-carbonate vein which has been partly brecciated and mineralized and is about 46 m long by 23 m and about 9 m thick. Mineralization is erratic and sampling from a dump beside a trench showed 2.6% Cu. 1956: Noranda Mines Ltd.- trenching, sampling, magnetic and EM survey. 1965: Bradex Mines Limited - from the centre of the quartz deposit, 3 chip samples were carefully taken across the mineralization with the following assay results: Sample 1 tr. oz. Au; 0.34 oz., 3.50% Cu; tr. Au, 0.12 oz./t Ag, 1.15% Cu%.
