Mineralization Comments

Jun 25, 2010 (A Wilson) - C. W. Knight (ODM) notes that the average contents of vein No. 1 in the Copper Bay, Wellington and Taylor sections were 3.8% Cu for a width of 5.5 feet. The average contents of vein No. 2 were found to be 2.67% Cu for a width of 4.12 feet. The average silver content of the ore was 0.16 oz/t and only traces of gold were reported. Huron-Bruce Mines Ltd. estimated that the average grade of the ore at the Taylor was 2.95% Cu. Sampling by the Mond Nickel Company returned the following results: 1.94% Cu over a length of 530 feet and an average width of 4.02 feet; 1.97% Cu over a length of 407 feet and an average width of 4.15 feet. Chip sampling of the underground works by Huron-Bruce Mines Ltd. returned the following assays: 2.11% Cu over 4.41 feet width between 1-200 ft.; 2.49% Cu over 4.04 ft width between 200-400 ft., 2.89%Cu over 5.8 feet width between 400-600 ft; and 0.64% Cu over 4.04 ft width between 600-800 ft. Huron-Bruce concluded that there were a series of ore shoots separated by low-grade material. At most, only a few thousand tons of material was mined from the Taylor shaft area. Records also report that 34,846 tons of tailings averaging 0.87% Cu were mined.
