Mineralization Comments

Mar 24, 2020 (Sheree Hinz) - Quartz chalcopyrite veins occur in Gowganda sediments, strike E and dip is not reported, but is apparently steeply N. Veins have been traced by drilling for a length of 2600 feet to a depth of 425 feet. Two principal zones: West body indicated for a length of 450 feet; East body indicated for a length of 400 feet, and is separated from West body along strike by 200 feet of almost barren material (ODM 1969 MRC 12 P 49). There are good exposures of a quartz veined breccia containing chalcopyrite, pyrite, specularite, magnetite, siderite, and calcite. Two bulk samples were taken in 1968. The first was 8.96 tons had a grade of 1.81% Cu, from which 317 lbs. of Cu were recovered. The second bulk sample was 51 tons and had a grade of 0.62% Cu.
