Subprovince: Cobalt Basin
Supergroup: Huronian Supergroup
Geological Age: Paleoproterozoic
Dec 07, 2005 (G Bennett) - The property is largely underlain by Algoman granitic rocks cut by diabase intrusions. A narrow strip of Lower Mississagi quartzite with uraniferous conglomerate lies along the north edge of the northeasternmost claim. These beds dip north at 15 to 20 degrees.
Dec 07, 2005 (P Beach) - A narrow strip of Matinenda quartzite with uraniferous conglomerate. These beds dip north at 15-20 degrees and rest on the Early Precambrian basement.
Date: Aug 25, 1999
Geologist: G Bennett
Notes: The ore bed was six and a half feet thick in the hole G-1 and averaged three and a half feet in holes G-3 to G-6 inclusive and hole G-10. There is then about ten to eleven thousand tons of material of ore grade indicated. Possibilities of developing further tonnage are practically nil. Quartz veins in the granitic basement, possibly the extension of mineralized veins found by Buckles carry only minor amounts of pyrite and chalcopyrite.
