Access Description: North most point of Coffee Lake just east of the stream between Coffee Lake and Tea Lake in north west Timmermans Township.



Exploration History

1954-1955: Drill hole p-1 went to 2309 feet. The drilling was done jointly by Picton Uranium Mines Ltd. and Brunette Porcupine Gold Mines Ltd. Drill holes p-2 and p-3, totalling 1444 feet and located 330 feet and 1650 feet northwest of p-1 respectively, were completed by Picton Uranium Mines Ltd. 1967: Claims owned by Denison Mines Ltd.

Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (P Beach) - Radioactive pyritic conglomerate pebble bands of the Matinenda Formation unconformably overlying Keewatin greenstone. Average thickness of bands was 3.5 feet. Closer to surface within drill core, pyrite, chalcopyrite and pyrrhotite were encountered and gave assays of 1.2% Cu over 2.5 feet with trace amounts of gold and cobalt. (OGS 1983 MDC 25 P 53).
