Dec 07, 2005 (P Beach) - This occurrence is underlain by feldspathic quartzite, conglomerate and arkose of the Matinenda Formation. A 6 inch thick band of oligomictic conglomerate was intersected in one of the drill holes by Fano Uranium Mines Ltd. in 1955, and indicated a radioactive count of 2 to 3 times background. (OGS 1983 MDC 25 P 60).
