Lithology Comments

Apr 25, 2013 (A Wilson) - Mineralization is hosted within an east-trending quartz-carbonate vein approximately 3 m wide and 150 m in length. The vein occupies a sheared and brecciated zone within sandstone and conglomerates of the Matinenda Formation.

Mineralization Comments

Apr 25, 2013 (A Wilson) - Mineralization consists of disseminated chalcopyrite and pyrite. A grab sample collected by the OGS in 1975 assayed trace silver and 2.6% Cu. Grab samples collected by A. Roy in 1994 assayed 6.78% Cu, 1.90 oz/t Ag over 8 ft; 5.3% Cu over 3.3 ft, 8.98% Cu and 0.02 oz/t Ag over 13 ft. Elevated Cu values have been traced along strike for approximately 1200 m. The best assays from DDH-1 returned 0.86% Cu over 15 feet. A 2.5 foot section of the same drill hole assayed 1.74% Cu, <0.025 oz/t Au and 0.11 oz/t Ag. A 3.5 ft section of core from DDH 74-4 assayed 0.51% Cu and a 5 ft section of core assayed 0.70% Cu. Both assays were from quartzites of the Espanola Fm.
