Lithology Comments

Apr 25, 2013 (A Wilson) - A mineralized shear zone 300 ft northeast of the South Zone and 200 ft west of the North Zone also was outlined. It has a width of between 4 and 6 feet and was traced for 55 ft along strike. This zone is a highly contorted shear zone within a fine-grained basic intrusive. Within the shear zone are three fractures four to six inches wide, with chalcopyrite mineralization. The areas between the fractures are mineralized with fine-grained disseminated sulphides. Mineralization (fine-grained and disseminated) was noted for distances of five feet on either side of the shear zone.

Apr 25, 2013 (P Beach) - Sulphides occur in two parallel, sheared and brecciated zones in quartzite, which lie N and S of a diabase dike. Both zones strike N30W and dip 85S. South (Cliff) zone is about 40 feet wide and its length has not been recorded. The North Zone lies 260 feet NE of the South Zone. The length has not been recorded.

Mineralization Comments

Apr 25, 2013 (A Wilson) - The highest assay obtained from drill core (hole evidently drilled between and subparallel to the zones) was 0.70% Cu over 1.3 feet. Samples collected by S. Welsh in 1954 assayed 0.46% Cu over 88 cm, 0.08% Cu over 30 cm and 0.56% Cu over 76 cm. Minor copper mineralization was intersected over 1.3 ft in the International Mine Services drill hole. Grab samples collected by Stanford Mines from the shear zone returned assays of 7.45% Cu and 0.78 oz/t Ag from fractures and 1.60% Cu and 0.15 oz/t Ag from the disseminated mineralization. The best assays from the Stanford drilling returned 0.53% Cu over 3 ft in H-4, 0.94% Cu and 0.14% Ag over 2.2 ft in drill hole H-3. DDH H-1 returned a best assay of 0.14% Cu and <0.1 oz/t Ag and 0.16% Cu and <0.1 oz/t Ag over 5 ft in veins in arkose. Grab samples collected by the OGS in 1975 assayed nil and 0.02 oz/t Au, nil and 0.36 oz/t Ag, 0.11% and 15.6% Cu and nil and 0.24% Zn.

Apr 25, 2013 (P Beach) - Samples collected by D. McKeachnie from the South Zone assayed 0.46% Cu over 36 inches. A chip sample from the North zone assayed 0.88% Cu over 6 feet.
