Lithology Comments

Apr 24, 2013 (A Wilson) - Mineralization occurs in a stockwork of narrow quartz veins striking N70-75ºW. The veins dip steeply to the south within an alteration zone at the contact between a Nipissing diabase and sandstone of the Gordon Lake Formation. The quartz veins range from 1-5 cm in width and occur only within the diabase.

Mineralization Comments

Apr 24, 2013 (A Wilson) - A 7.6 m long section of drill core from XE-5 assayed 0.38% Cu. Teck DDH XE-6, drilled from the same set-up, assayed 0.10% Cu over 13.7 m. Samples from the core and sludge samples returned values up to 0.82% Cu. The mineralized zone is estimated to extend for approximately 900 m. Chip samples collected by US-CA-MEX Exploration Company Limited reportedly returned assays ranging from 0.22% Cu to 0.38% Cu; and two samples returned 0.01 oz/t Ag. A grab sample collected by the OGS in the early 1970’s assayed 0.92% Cu and 0.15 oz/t Ag.
