Lithology Comments

Apr 26, 2013 (A Wilson) - A vertical 20 ft wide quartz vein trends northwest in a cliff of pink quartz monzonite. The monzonite is sheared parallel to the vein. Quartz-pebble conglomerate beds are interbedded with quartzite of the Matinenda formation and are intermittently exposed in the bed of Wood Creek. The strata strike slightly south of east and dip about 30ºS.

Mineralization Comments

Apr 26, 2013 (A Wilson) - The vein is sparsely mineralized with chalcopyrite and malachite. The vein is composed of pale grey quartz with associated specularite, carbonate and minor brecciated diabase. A selected grab sample collected by the ODM in 1970 assayed 0.08% Cu and traces of Cr, Pb, Mn, Ti, Ag and Au.
