Exploration History

In 1956, 14 diamond drill holes totalling 680.32 feet were drilled under Inglis, M.O. In 1962-63, Tribag Mining Co. Ltd. completed 3 diamond drill holes totalling 1099 feet . In 1963064, Tribag Mining Co. Ltd. completed 3 diamond drill holes totalling 2314.1 feet. In 1964, Tribag Mining Co. Ltd completed 3 diamond drill holes totalling 1539.7 feet. In 1965, Tribag Mining Co. Ltd., developed a 294 foot adit. The adit was to provide a base for undergound drilling to check the north west portion of the breccia wehre surface drilling had indicated a substantial tonnage of low grade copper ore. Sampling was completed along sections of the adit. In 1966, 3 Tribag Mining Co. Ltd., completed 3 diamond drill holes totalling 604 feet. In 1969, New Senator-Rouyn Ltd., , completed 3 diamond drill holes totalling 1207 feet. In 1977, Tribag Mining Co Ltd., compelted 39 diamond drill holes totalling 15130 feet. In 1980, a total of 31 percussion drill hoes were laid out on the East Breccia by Dekalb Mining Corportaion. The holes were laid out 300 feet apart. DRilling depth was to be 300 feet on all holes. A total of 20 holes were actually drilled. Total footage drilled was 5,913 feet. Six of the remaining holes were not drilled due to inaccessibility to the percussion drill equipment and 3 were lost due to inability to keep the drill hole open through overburden. The remaining 2 holes were not attempted as deep overburden was expected. In 1985, Jonpol Exploration Ltd., completed a 4 hole diamond drill program totalling 1678 feet drilled to test geophysical features within the area of the gorund magnetic survey. Hole 85-1 intersected 2.4 feet assaying 0.036 oz/ton gold and 0.26 oz/ton silver. Hole 85-3 intersected 5.5 feet of 2200 ppm copper and 3.5 feet of 4100ppm zinc. In 2007, Amador Gold Corp. competed an MMI survey to test the area of known mineralization over the east breccia zone itself and to see if the zone extended under the area of thick overburden east of the east breccia. In 2009, Amador Gold Corp., conducted a 4 hole diamon drill program. The program was designed to look at the anomalous results from the MMI survey in conjunction with teh IP/Resistivity survey.

Geology Comments

Aug 17, 2011 (A Pace) - The East Breccia is hosted within the western section of the Archean Batchawana Greenstone Belt. The breccia is the largest of the Tribag Breccias . It underlies an oval-shaped area 2300 feet long and 1000 feet wide and is approximately 1800 feet south of the volcanic-granite contact. It is described as having tight packing of rock fragments throughout and a sparse quartzcarbonate matrix. The fragments are compoesed mainly of mafic volcanics and diabase.

Mineralization Comments

Aug 17, 2011 (A Pace) - Results from the 1980 drilling by Dekalb Mining Corporation averaged 0.11% copper, 0.009% molybdenum and 0.035 oz/ton silver. Results from Jonpol Exploration Ltd., included Hole 85-1 intersected 2.4 feet assaying 0.036oz/ton gold and 0.26 oz.ton silver. Hole 85-3 intersected 5.5 feet of 2200ppm copper and 3.5 feet of 4100ppm zinc. Diamond drill hole EB-2 interseceted 2.36% copper and 0.58 oz/ton silver over 20 feet, along with 0.09% molybdenite over 10 feet. Diamond rill hole EB-8 intersected 0.58% copper over 14.8 feet. Grab samples ranged from 0.34% to 1.76% copper. The breccia had been explred by a 294 foot adit and by pattern of vertical drill holes to a depth of 1000 feet. It is estimated to contain 125 million tons of 0.13% copper, of which 4,275,000 tons grading 0.27% copper are concentrated in the northwest part of the pipe. The grade of molybdenite is estimated at 0.03% to 0.05% molybdenite. Sulphide mineralization is distributed uniformly throughout the breccia mainly in the from of chalcopyrite and minor molybdenite. The sulphide mineralization has been described as occurring as replacement disseminations in the rock fragmetns, with molybdenite present mainly in late, randomly distributed fractures.
