Access Description: The prospect is located approximately 750 metres south of McGovern Lake and 15 metres north of Patent Lake.
In 1962-63 2950.5 feet and 11 diamond drill holes were completed by Joubin F.R., Macintosh, J.A., and Lien, H.O. Out of the eleven diamond drill holes Hole number 5 was drilled in the vicinity of the occurrence. (Assessment file Olsen-0013) In 1983 an air mag and EM conducted by Mid-North Engineering, Giroux, E, Giroux, R, Falstrom, J, Charpentier, R, Bush Pilot Corp Inc. (Assessment File Olsen-0015). In 1988 a prospecting report conducted by Loydex Resources Ltd., Desjardins, Y. (Assessment File SSMP-Olsen-10), In 1989 a report on resistivity, EM, Mag and VLF conducted by Goldfields Canadian Mining Ltd., Loydex Resources (Assessment File SSMP Olsen-09) In 1996 channel sampling conducted by Loydex Resources Inc. (Assessment File SSMP-Olsen-40).

Jun 25, 2010 (A Pace) - The area is underlain by mafic metavolcanics with minor felsic metavolcanics and interbedded sediments. Some of the metasediments have been identified as Iron formations.

Jun 25, 2010 (A Pace) - Mineralization has been identified in drill hole number 5 that was completed by Joubin F.R., MacIntosh, J.A., and Lien, H.O. The drill hole intersected 48.2 feet of banded graphitic schist with a high percentage of pyrite and pyrrhotite and minor chalcopyrite. A 3.9 foot sample assayed 0.03% copper and a 3 foot sample assayed 0.01% copper. The drill hole also intersected a quartz-porphry at the base. Grab samples obtained and assayed by Loydex Resources Inc. includes 0.054 oz/ton Au and 0.02 oz/ton gold hosted within a sheared basic metavolcanic with 10% pyrite. A grab sample within the same vicinity hosted in banded magnetite assayed 0.094 oz/ton gold.
