Exploration History

In 1962-63 diamond drilling was done by Joubin F.R., MacInctosh, J.A. and Lien, H.O. where 11 diamond drill holes at a total of 2946.2 feet were drilled. Four out of the eleven drill holes were drilled in the vicinity of McGovern Lake East. These holes include drill hole numbers 1,2,3,4. In 1983 air mag and EM was completed by Mid-North Engineering, Giroux, E, Giroux, R, Falstrom,J, Charpentier, R, Bush Pilot Corp Inc. (Assessment file Olsen-0015). In 1986 a multi-discipline report included ground mag and EM, geology, assay sampling conducted by Bush Pilot Corp Inc., Minex Exploration Services, Master Resources Development. (Assessment File SSMP-Olsen-02). In 1988 a prospecting report was conducted by Lo9ydex Resources Ltd., Desjardins, Y. (Assessment File SSMP-Olsen-07) In 1989 a report on resistivity, EM, Mag, VLF conducted by Goldfields Canadian Mining Ltd., Loydex Resources. In 1994 prospecting report conducted by Loydex Resources Inc, (Assessment File SSMP-Olsen-35). In 1996 channel sampling conducted by Loydex Resources Inc, (Assessment File SSMP-Olsen-40).

Geology Comments

Jun 25, 2010 (A Pace) - Surface geology identified by Preliminary geolgoical Map No. P. 302 illustrates that the showing is located within mafic to intermediate volcanices and interflow sediments. Iron Formations have been mapped in the vincity of the showing. Drill holes completed in 1962 have identified intersections of mafic to intermediate volcanincs, greywackes, volcanic tuffs, Diabase, Lamprophyre dyke and quartz porphry. Drill core logs of 1962 have described the rock units to have a schistose fabric

Mineralization Comments

Jun 25, 2010 (A Pace) - Four out of the eleven diamond drill holes conducted by Joubin F.R, MacIintosh, J.A., and Lien, H.O. were drilled in the vicinity of McGovern Lake east. The drill holes had intersected a schistose section that is primarily chloritic in composition. Silicification is evident with pyrite, pyrrhotite and minor chalcopyrite present as the dominant sulphides. Drill hole number 1 had a 3 foot section assayed at 0.02% copper. The drill logs also documented sections of chert with narrow bands of magnetite. Drill hole number 4 intersected a section of chlortie schist with pyrite and pyrrhotite with frequent white quartz bands. A 13.7 foot sample assayed 0.01 oz/ton gold.
