Dec 07, 2005 (P Beach) - The radioactive anomaly occurs within the sheared contact zone between a Keweenawan diabase dike and Early Precambrian granite. It is associated with pitchblende bearing, calcite hematite veins located within the sheared contacts and in the tension cracks in the diabase. The average assay from a bulk sample 0.101 % U3O8 (chemical) (OGS 1983 MDC 25 P 39).
