Exploration History

In 1964 a vertical hole numbered MB 1 was drilled by Consolidated Marbenor to a depth of 780 feet that intersected breccia and a number of felsite dykes. Consolidated Marbenor also conducted a soil geochem survey. In 1964 United Reef Petroleums Ltd., completed a 5 hole of 3193 feet of diamond drilling. In 1971 Deevil Mining Group Ltd., completed a soil geochem and IP survey. Keevil Mining Group Ltd., had drilled 4 holes. In 1988 Duration mines resampled selected portions of Keevill's drill core. In 1992 grid named the Peanut Grid Area was conducted in the area of the Plamer Breccia where soil geochemistry, Whole Rock lithogeochemistry, geology and prospecting were completed.

Mineralization Comments

Nov 09, 2010 (A Pace) - A breccia pipe cuts mafic metavolcanics. The pipe is 900 by 900 feet across at surface, extends to a depth of at least 800 feet, and appears to plunge north at 55. It consists of fragments of granite , diabase and metavolcanics in a vuggy carbonate-quartz-barite-sulphide matrix. In general, the grade is very low. The best assays are reported from depths of 206, 475, 727 feet where core samples assayed 3.47% Cu over 2.0 feet; 6.09% Cu over 3.0 feet; and 1.38% Cu over 2.0 feet, respectively. All other assays were less than 0.75% Cu; most were less than 0.10% Cu; over widths ranging from 1.0 to 11.5 feet. Hole MB-1 drilled in 1964 intersected breccai containing sparse chalcopyrite mineralization mostly in the carbonate matrix of the breccia. Duration Mines resampled selected portions of Keevil's drill core where the best results included 2.24g/t Au over 0.85m.

Site Visit Information

Date: Sep 13, 2010

Geologist: A Pace

Notes: Staff of the SSM Resident Geologist office conducted a field visit in the vicinity of the Palmer Breccia Zone. Outcrop exposure was poor due to dense forest and significant overburden. A series of boulders located within the vicinity were observed that were breccia. The breccia appeared clast supported with a quartz and minor carbonate mattrix with disseminated sulphides. No samples were collected due to obvious outcrop exposure.
