Exploration History

In 1962 C.C. Huston & Associates undertook a comprehensive exploration program. Exploration activities consisted of prospecting, geological mapping, geophysical and geochemical surveys. This was followed by stripping of mineralized occurrences and a diamond drilling program. Ground magnetometer surveys were completed in order to delineate lithology and structure. Stream sediment samples were analyzed in the field for total heavy mineral content and also analyzed for Cu, Zn and Pb. This was followed by detailed soil sampling in the area of stream anomalies and identified copper occurrences. A 1500 foot diamond drill program consisting of 7 drill holes. Two parallel mineralized zones were intersected during the drilling with discontinuous and variable grades of copper and silver. Coppercorp Ltd. completed a diamond drill program consisting of 8 drill holes designed to test the mineralzied zones identified by C.C. Huston $ Associates, but which extended onto the Coppercorp property. Drill holes testes the mineralized zones trending NNW and dipping 55-70 east.

Mineralization Comments

Oct 10, 2006 (A Pace) - Chalcocite disseminated in felsite-breccia. Mainly as dissemintated chalcocite distributed sporadically along the fracture patterns of teh breccia. It contains discontiunuous siliceous vein carrying a mederately high tenor in copper and low values in silver is found within and parallel to the boundaries of a felsite-breccia dyke. Siliceous chalcocite-boronite-chalcopyrite viens. Siliceous veins a few inches to fourteen feet wide, and up to 600 feet long cutting the Keweenawan volcanic rocks. Chalcocite, bornite and chalcopyrite all occur in these veins as dissmeniated blebs and as thin tension-type slips. There is probably a close association of siliceous copper-bearing veins with felsite-breccia dykes, or with the same structures which influenced the deposition of felsite. The felsite strikes N15E and dips 40 to the east. In the centre of this dyke and lying parallel to it, is a discontinuous carbonate-quartz vein varying in width from three to twelve feet wide, with, in places, abundant blebs and veinlets of chalcocite.
