Exploration History

1962-63: C.C. Houston & Associates-prospecting, mapping, ground geophysics, geochemical survey, stripping, DD-8-1887 ft. Due to the large extend of this mineralized shear zone and the fact it could not be adequeately sampled on surface a diamond drill hole was drilled to test the zone. The drill hole was named drill hole #8. 2012: Superior Copper Corporation- prospecting, sampling program.

Mineralization Comments

Jul 15, 2014 (A Pace) - Detaied prospecting culminated in the disclosure of an east-west trending major fauult zone cutting granite with associated large quartz veins and sheared/altered zones containing disseminated chalcopyrite and pyrite. Heavy overburden prevented detailed sampling. Representative grab samples gave analysis of 0.36%, 0.90% and 0.36% copper. Over an extensive zone, from 28 feet to 268 feet, the typical coarse-grained granite was shown to be altered to a fine-grained greenish chloritic granite or diorite with the development of numerous silicified and sheard sections. In places, disseminated pyrite up to 5% and minor threads of chalcopyrite were observed in the silicified diorite. Zone strikes 055 and dips from 30 to 90 degrees south, and traced intermittently for 180 metres. Core samples assays ranged from 0.19% Cu over 1.2 metres to 0.28% Cu over 1.6 metres.
