Geological Age: Archean
Jul 17, 2007 (A Pace) - Much of the area is underlain by Archean metavolcanics. The metavolcanics consist largely of massive and pillowed basic to intermediate flows with minor intercalated acid metvolcanics and iron formation. Mafic intrusive rocks include diabase and gabbro. Copper mineralization was observed to occur in thin quartz veins. The copper occurs as coarse chalcopyrite usually in thin quartz veining.
