Access Description: Close to the shore of Lake Superior at Baldhead Point, 850 metres south of the north boundary of Giles Township within Lake Superior Provincial Park.
Pre 1950: Sampling and prospecting by J.G. McCombe. 1951: Soo-Tomic Uranium Mines Ltd. drilled 21 shallow d.d. holes totalling 671 feet. 1975: This occurrence is now within Lake Superior Provincial Park.

Dec 07, 2005 (P Beach) - Radioactive mineralization occurs in a brecciated zone at the contact and in a Keweenawan diabase dike cutting an Early Precambrian granite-pegmatite complex. The breccia zone was traced for 80 feet along the footwall and averaged 5 inches in width. A parallel zone 4 feet away is 6 inches wide and was traced for 60 feet. Samples from this deposit sent by J.G. McCombe assayed 1.62% U3O8 (radiometric equivalent) and up to 0.56 % U3O8 (chemical). Samples sent by W. Jenks showed up to 7.3 % U3O8. (OGS 1983 MDC 25 P 22).
