Gabbro 3 Gabbro/Diorite Near

Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The showing is comprised of the main 20 cm wide quartz vein, a parallel 1 cm quartz vein several cm to the immediate south of the main vein, and another 2 cm quartz veins 8 m west of and on strike with the main vein. The veins are opaque and fine grained. The vein is hosted by chlorite schist in a linear zone of gheared gabbro/diorite. The vein has been disrubpted by the later intrusion of felsic dikes and barren quartz veins.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - Dominion Explorers took nine grab samples from a quartz vein returned an average grade of 0.46 oz/t Au with up to 2 ppb Ag. A 20 kg bulk sample collected from the main vein by Central Crude Ltd. returned an assay value of 0.599 oz/t Au. Other grab samples have returned assays up to 114 g/t Au. Analyses of diamond drill core, returned values of 0.34 g/t Au and 0.51 g/t Au. A grab sample from the vein by Noranda returned an assay of 12.17 g/t Au.
