Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The Eagle River Deformation Zone is approximately 11 km in length and 500 m to 1.5 km in width and is situated south of the Bowman Lake Batholith and north of the Floatingheart Batholith. It transects a diorite to quartz-diorite intrusion located north of No Name Lake. Deformation and alteration are most intense within the intrusion. The No Name Lake intrusion is in sheared contact with intercalated mafic and intermediate metavolcanices. Individual shear zones are localized at lithological contacts between mafic and intermediate metavolcanics.

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The rocks of the Catfish Assemblage are subdivided into two segments. The more abundant of the two is the Pukaskwa-Point Isacor Segment which occupies most of the southern part of the Mishibishu Lake greenstone belt. These rocks consist of magnesium-rich tholeittie, calc-alkaline andesite, dacite and minor rhyolite, minor sedimentary rocks and lean chert-magnetite iron formation. The magnesium-rich tholeiite which predominate in the area form a north-dipping, north facing sequence. The mineralized zones at the mine occupy localized shear zones in both the quartz diorite and the mafic metavolcanic rocks.

Notes: The deposit is a classic, shear-hosted, narrow quartz vein, high grade deposit. Several separate mineralized zones have been identified along the 14-km strike length of the deformation zone on the Eagle River property. The No. 8, No. 6 and West Zones are hosted by shear zones which cut a quartz diorite stock. the No. 2 and No. 3 zones occur in sheared mafic metavolcanics immediately east of the stock as does the HP zone identified by surface prospecting in 1995. The ore zones are vertically dipping, display moderate to steep east plunges and mineable widths of 1.5 to 7.5 metres. Deep exploration drilling has identified high grade values over mineable widths to a maximum depth of 550 metres.
