Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The Eagle River Deformation Zone is approximately 11 km in length and 500 m to 1.5 km in width and is situated south of the Bowman Lake Batholith and north of the Floatingheart Batholith. It transects a diorite to quartz-diorite intrusion located north of No Name Lake. Deformation and alteration are most intense within the intrusion. The No Name Lake intrusion is in sheared contact with intercalated mafic and intermediate metavolcanices. Individual shear zones are localized at lithological contacts between mafic and intermediate metavolcanics.
